You may be wondering which nonfiction class would be right for you this fall. Let us help! (See also "Which Fiction Class Should I Take This Fall?")
If you have a nonfiction narrative you'd like to share but you're not sure yet which form it should take—or if you'd simply like to experiment—we'd recommend All the Nonfiction Genres with Chris Daley starting October 18 in Los Feliz.
If you’ve started a personal essay collection or memoir project, we’d suggest Nonfiction II with Elizabeth Silver starting October 16 in Encino/Sherman Oaks.
If you’re working on a memoir or would like to start one, Writing Your Memoir with Erica Garza would be an excellent class for you, starting October 17 in Los Feliz.
If you have completed a memoir and you’re ready to get feedback on the entire manuscript, you could sign up for Diana Wagman's Revising Your Manuscript workshop, starting October 14 in Echo Park.
If you write any form of nonfiction and you'd prefer a class on the westside of Los Angeles, we’d recommend Westside Nonfiction with Lisa Fetchko starting October 17 in Mar Vista.
If you've made significant progress toward completing a nonfiction project, we welcome you to apply to Nonfiction III: Application Workshop with Chris Daley, starting October 16 in Franklin Village.
If you’re more in the mood for a one- or two-day seminar this fall, we’d suggest Show and Tell with Seth Fischer on November 10 and 17 (online), The Art & Craft of Fact in Nonfiction with Chelsea Biondolillo on December 2 and 16 (online), All Talk—Writing Dialogue with Chris L. Terry on November 4 (Hancock Park), Shaping Your Story: How a Screenwriter’s Toolkit Can Help You Finish (or Start) Your Book with Christopher DeWan on November 11 and 18 (Pasadena), or Insider/Outsider—Writing The Participatory Essay with Summer Block on December 1 and 15 (Burbank).
